Raw Materials Symposium | August 3-4, 2023
Join us August 3-4, 2023, in Bloomington, MN, for this two-day symposium that will include research into evolving trends in Malt, Hops, Yeast, and Utilities, with a recurrent focus on sustainability, efficiency, and methods of adapting to the current challenges and disruptions in supply chain quality and availability.
Richard Preiss will be speaking on a panel of yeast suppliers and brewers with an interactive discussion on the approaches to limited fermentations and methods of ensuring product stability and safety (8am-11:30am on August 4th).
Essential Brewing Microbiology | August 25th, 2023
This course will involve morning presentations covering the basics of beer quality control and setting up a quality control (QC) lab. The discussion will focus on learning aseptic techniques and creating aseptic environments including brewery sampling, plating beer samples for QC analysis on various agar media, how to use a microscope and haemocytometer for cell counts, creating sampling plans, and using sensory analysis as part of a quality program.
